Senior Critical Environment Technician
Overview
Corporate Tools is hiring a Senior Critical Environment Technician. This is a traditional, full-time employee position based on-site at our data center in Johnston, Iowa. You'll work 40 hours per week and enjoy great company benefits.
As our Senior Critical Environment Technician, you'll keep the behind-the-scenes machinery of our data center doing exactly what it's supposed to do. From maintaining CRAC units and managing vendors for specialized work to overseeing server row build-outs, you'll take ownership of the electrical and mechanical systems that keep our facility up, running, and out of trouble. It's a hands-on role where knowing what's happening behind the walls is just as important as knowing what's happening on the floor.
You'll also be the go-to expert for stakeholders who need insight into our critical infrastructure, helping them understand the facility's systems, equipment, and ongoing work. When mechanical or electrical issues decide to make an appearance, you'll be ready to respond. Being on-call is part of the role, so troubleshooting, planning, coordinating, and keeping things in working order will all be part of your responsibilities.
This role is a great fit for a licensed electrician with deep mission-critical experience who likes having a handle on the bigger picture, not just the next task on the list. You'll have the expertise and ownership to keep our facility's physical backbone in excellent shape. After all, the servers get plenty of attention, but someone has to make sure everything keeping them alive is doing its job.

Why Work Here
Corporate Tools is looking for someone who knows their way around a breaker panel, can tell the difference between a minor hiccup and a major headache, and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. You'll take ownership of the electrical and mechanical systems behind our data center, work with specialized equipment, and become the resident expert on keeping everything humming along. Because "have you tried turning it off and back on again?" doesn't quite cover this job. If troubleshooting, keeping critical systems happy, and making sure the chaos stays behind the scenes sound like your kind of thing, we'd love to meet you.
