Yes, Corporate Tools Is a Real Company. Really.

April 30, 2026 10:00 pm

Behind most successful small businesses is a layer of infrastructure most people never see. Corporate Tools has filled that role for businesses across the U.S. since 2014, handling everything from in-house-built software and digital tools to formation and compliance filings.

Headquartered in the Inland Northwest, we’ve got main offices in Post Falls, Idaho; Spokane, Washington; Austin, Texas; and Salt Lake City, Utah, plus local hubs in 30 states.

Is Corporate Tools a Scam Company?

No. It’s human to distrust the unfamiliar, so we understand why our company might raise questions at first glance. We’ve got unorthodox job listings, plainspoken website copy that reads differently from most corporate websites, and we serve our clients quietly, away from the spotlight.

We’re unique, but we’re legit. And we’ve a got a team of over 1,200 hard-working employees focused on supporting business owners and making a positive impact every day.

So where does the skepticism stem from? Here’s a closer look.

We Keep a Low Profile Online

Corporate Tools is a private company with privacy-first processes. This isn’t a marketing angle we take. It’s simply how we operate.

We fly under the radar, and that’s fine with us. But in a world where most companies play the visibility olympics, we understand why that might raise some eyebrows.

We’re always happy to provide you with more information about us:

No matter how you reach out, you’ll always get a human on the line. No bots here.

We’ve Received Honest Reviews, Good and Bad

Passionate reviews can sound fake, and we get it. We’ve received a lot of them, some lauding our services or work culture, others highlighting where we’ve missed the mark. We own all of it. The great reviews are real, and so are the bad ones.

We received some harsh criticism in 2025 after a round of layoffs. We didn’t dismiss it. We wrote our own response on this blog covering what happened, why, and what we changed as a result.

For the most part, we’ve earned positive comments from both customers and employees. Sometimes, those comments are extremely enthusiastic. That enthusiasm usually traces back to the same thing: we’ve always valued our employees’ personal time and paid them what they’re worth. That hasn’t changed.

Good or bad, we’re listening, and we use the feedback we receive to make us better at what we do.

Our Job Listings Reflect Who We Are

We offer generous compensation and benefits to the people who join our team. This is partly a perk of being a privately owned and debt-free company, but mostly it’s just how we think a company should operate. Most businesses our size answer to shareholders first, paying the lowest possible rate to employees so they can maximize profits and returns. We do it differently.

By staying private, we can put all of our energy and resources into taking care of our people, who then take care of our customers. If we do that, we believe everything else will come naturally.

Some of our job postings are humorous or casual, rather than strictly professional. That’s because we prioritize culture in our hiring process.
We want to work with decent humans, people who don’t take themselves too seriously, and who are always ready to tackle the next challenge as a team.

What Corporate Tools Is, and What We Do

Corporate Tools offers business services that make running a company easier, including:

  • Custom-built entity management software
  • Logistics support
  • Credit card processing
  • Customer service
  • State filings

We’re built to help registered agent companies, filing services, attorneys, accountants—everyone who keeps other businesses compliant and running.

Put simply: we quite literally build corporate tools, and provide infrastructure for people who handle corporate filings. We’ve been doing this for over a decade, serving clients in all 50 states plus Washington, D.C., and we’re still privately owned, debt-free, and growing.

Is Corporate Tools a Great Company to Build a Career With?

Definitely! If you like a fast-moving environment working for a company that trusts its people, pays well, and gives you room to build something meaningful, we might be exactly what you’re looking for.

If you’re more interested in a predictable, buttoned-up work experience, that’s not us.

We’re a company that takes its culture and work seriously, without taking ourselves too seriously. We hire people who want to do exceptional work, and we try to make that easy for them.

If any of this sounds like your kind of place, we’d love to hear from you. Browse our open positions, check out our internship opportunities, reach out to us, or pass us your cover letter. We’ll be right here, doing good work.
