PeopleOps (HR) Intern

Overview:

Corporate Tools is offering a PeopleOps (HR) Internship. This position is required to be in-office and is Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week, located in our Spokane, WA office with some days working out of our Post Falls, ID office.

As our PeopleOps intern, you’ll get a front-row seat to everything from recruiting awesome new teammates to helping plan employee events that people actually want to attend. You’ll assist with benefits coordination, support new hire onboarding, keep our HR files in tip-top shape, and maybe even come up with the next big idea for employee engagement. This is your chance to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced, people-focused department — all while learning what it really means to support and grow a healthy company culture. Bonus points if you’re curious, organized, and don’t mind a few spreadsheets.

Duration: The internship will be 12 weeks, May 27th – August 14th.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Wage:

$21/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning and executing employee events and recognition programs.
  • Help develop communications (emails, intranet posts, presentations) that reinforce company values and culture.
  • Gather feedback and analyze data to help make impactful decisions on the business.
  • Assist with updating benefits materials and resources for employees.
  • Research market trends in employee benefits and present key findings.
  • Support wellness initiatives such as workshops, challenges, and communications that promote physical, mental, and financial well-being.
  • Draft communications and resources to educate employees about benefits, wellness offerings, and engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with posting job openings and writing job descriptions.
  • Participate in weekly meetings.
  • Support HR team in day-to-day administrative tasks and special projects.
  • Participate in on-boarding of new hires.

Requirements:

  • Are at least a sophomore in college and majoring in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with HR software is a plus (but not required).
  • Drive to learn open source software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Will be available for all 12 weeks of the internship duration.
