Marketing Content Writing Intern
Overview:
Corporate Tools is offering a Marketing Content Writer Internship. This position is required to be in-office and is Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week, located in our Spokane, WA office with some days working out of our Post Falls, ID office.
As a Marketing Content Writer Intern you’ll work with senior writers to create compelling and persuasive content on websites and blogs, and maybe some social media. You’ll spend time researching markets and learning about content strategies for new and existing websites. Then you’ll need to be able to put down your books of poems and short stories for eight-hours a day.
The writer we are looking for are those who love the challenge of taking complicated ideas and explaining them in clear, simple terms. If you find yourself often asking why things work the way they do, you might be a fit. In exchange for your skill and experience, we provide a fun, relaxed, open-office setting; and empower you to have great influence over your own projects. Initially, there will be a learning curve, though. You will need to do a lot of research and writing to simply understand the services we market. Eventually, you’ll be expected to oversee creation of content on your own.
Duration: The internship will be 12 weeks, May 27th – August 14th.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Wage:
$21/hr
Responsibilities:
- Read and research industry-related topics
- Outline and write clear marketing copy
- Prepare well-structured drafts that are nearly ready for publication
- Proofread and edit blog posts before publication
- Submit work to editors for input and approval
- Work with our team of writers and front-end designers to make high-end content
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment, and be a good human
- Participate in resume/cover letter building and other workshops with our HR team
Requirements:
- Are at least a sophomore in college with a focus on English or Writing
- Experience writing blogs, websites, social media, etc
- The ability to be a strong and confident writer is preferred
- The ability to handle criticism in a professional manner (aka: have a thick skin)
- Have school or personal writing projects you can share with us
- You bring some weird or quirky new aspect of living and humanity to our workforce
- Will be available for all 12 weeks of the internship duration
