Graphic Design Intern
Overview:
Corporate Tools is offering a Graphic Designer Internship. This position is required to be in-office and is Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week, located in our Spokane, WA office with some days working out of our Post Falls, ID office. We are looking for candidates who are enrolled in a graphic design or art program and would like real-world experience with hands-on design work. We’ll need to see some work samples, which can be student work.
The intern will join a team with five Designers and one Art Director. The team works on UI and illustrations for websites, social post graphics, internal marketing collateral, slide decks, merchandise graphics and more. You will assist on some projects, but you’ll also own some design projects outright.
Duration: The internship will be 12 weeks, May 27th – August 14th.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Wage:
$21/hr
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating digital and print designs, including social media graphics, marketing materials, and presentations.
- Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize and execute creative solutions.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions.
- Conduct research to stay updated on design trends and tools, incorporating fresh insights into projects.
- Revise and refine ideas based on feedback from team members and stakeholders.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment, and be a good human.
- Participate in resume/cover letter building and other workshops with our HR team.
Requirements:
- Are at least a sophomore in college with a focus on Graphic Design.
- Basic understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
- Experience with Adobe programs, such as: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Premiere, and After Effects.
- Exposure to any of the following is a plus: Figma, Sketch, Procreate, and Canva.
- Ability to have an open mind with requests.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to accept and implement feedback.
- Attention to detail with a creative and adaptable mindset.
- A portfolio showcasing your design work. This can include school projects, personal projects, or freelance work.
- Will be available for all 12 weeks of the internship duration.
